Think we are on Day 18 of the trip. It's been a great trip. Some of the many activities we have enjoyed were:
road biking in June Lake and Tioga Pass, hiking, panning for gold at Sutter's Mill, White Water Rafting (no not the boys just me), the railroad museum in Sacramento, taking the ferry over to SFO and spending a full day in the greatest city in the US, riding a 1900 steam train through the Redwoods, running the trails under the amazing Redwood forest, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (an amusement park), playing in the sand and ocean at Capitola State Beach and most of all just watching the kids laughing and playing, riding bikes until the sun goes down and exploring all the cool "hideouts" at the different campgrounds.
I know this will be a vacation that the boys will forever remember! It has also been really wonderful to have my dearest friend GinaMarie and her kids along with us. Without her kids there might have been some rough times. But all the kids played perfectly together. It has also been a huge help to have B&B come up and stay this past week with us. Paul actually had to go fly a trip for 3 days and I would have gone crazy without the help of my In-Laws. God bless them!
But this Mom is ready to get home and sleep in her own bed, not have to set-up a Pack N Play every night, cook a meal in a big kitchen and watch cable TV and be able to stretch out on our couch.
