One of the reasons why I love Facebook is that your Birthday displays to all your friends. Not only does this help me out big-time since I am horrible at remembering Birthdays but also it's fun to get a bunch of messages on your Wall.
Today has been a great day so far. Paul let me sleep in. The boys made me adorable cards, I got in a 15 mile ride on my new bike and later this evening Paul and I are having dinner alone at one of my favorite restaurants in Temecula Public House www.publichouse.tv
This past year has been really wonderful. I can honestly say it was probably one of the best. I feel like the kids are at an age where we can all do fun things together, our camping trips have been amazing, we have had some great times with family members and we bought a new house. I really can't wait to see what next year brings!

Another year older but I'm ok with that!

Home
Home Sweet Home (well at least for another 2 weeks).
We survived the 9 hour drive. I told Paul driving with a 5 year old and an 18 month old is about as fun as getting a root canal.
All in all it was a great trip and I am sure the boys will forever remember it!
Pulled in the driveway last night about 9:00 pm to see a "For Rent" sign in the yard. Left a lump in my throat as this has been our home for the last 8 years and now "BAM it's a rental- not ours."
These final few weeks are going to be tough.

Napa-total bust
The one thing I was looking forward to the most was wine tasting in my mecca: Napa Valley.
However I will tell you it was a complete letdown. The wineries were all way overpriced for measly sips of wine...we are talking 30 bucks for 3 tastes (yes TASTES). Boring atmosphere and very stuck-up.
I guess I am spoiled living in Temecula wine country. I heart you Temecula Valley!

Day 18-something?
Think we are on Day 18 of the trip. It's been a great trip. Some of the many activities we have enjoyed were:
road biking in June Lake and Tioga Pass, hiking, panning for gold at Sutter's Mill, White Water Rafting (no not the boys just me), the railroad museum in Sacramento, taking the ferry over to SFO and spending a full day in the greatest city in the US, riding a 1900 steam train through the Redwoods, running the trails under the amazing Redwood forest, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (an amusement park), playing in the sand and ocean at Capitola State Beach and most of all just watching the kids laughing and playing, riding bikes until the sun goes down and exploring all the cool "hideouts" at the different campgrounds.
I know this will be a vacation that the boys will forever remember! It has also been really wonderful to have my dearest friend GinaMarie and her kids along with us. Without her kids there might have been some rough times. But all the kids played perfectly together. It has also been a huge help to have B&B come up and stay this past week with us. Paul actually had to go fly a trip for 3 days and I would have gone crazy without the help of my In-Laws. God bless them!
But this Mom is ready to get home and sleep in her own bed, not have to set-up a Pack N Play every night, cook a meal in a big kitchen and watch cable TV and be able to stretch out on our couch.

1 week down
Spent the past week in June Lake. Wow! What an amazing trip.
The boys did tons of fishing, hiking and playing at the campground. Every night was a party with our dear friends The Fredericks.
I put about 50 miles on my new road bike this past week. I rode the June Lake Loop along with a ride at the top of Tioga Pass that went down into Yosemite National Park. The roads still had snow at the top (9900 ft) so it was closed to vehicles. HEAVEN for road bikers since we had the entire highway all to ourselves!
We were sad to leave the beautiful snow capped mountains behind but we are off to our next stop. We made it to "Gold Rush Country" and just met up with my best bud GinaMarie and her kids.
What will the next 4 days bring us at this campground?

c-ya!
In just a couple days we will be off on our nice long vacation. We are taking the trailer to the following places:
1st stop: June Lake
http://junelakeloop.org/
2nd stop: Near the American River:
http://www.thousandtrails.com/getaways/california/ponderosa.asp
3rd stop: Napa Valley http://napavalley.com
Can I tell you how excited I am to go here and WINE TASTE!!!
4th stop: Santa Cruz Beach
http://www.cityofsantacruz.com
As stressed as we are about moving I actually think this trip will be good for all of us. It will force us to relax and getaway from it all. The best part is that we are going with other families with kids so the kids will have lots to do. And if I hear one "Mom I am bored" I will officially throw in the towel.

Sum-Sum-Summa-time
Sign
Things that just melt a mama's heart:
I was in the other room and T walks in and says "look I made a sign for Dylan!" It says "I love you Dylan. From Tyler"
Can I just burn this memory in my brain forever? I love these boys.

Retire and moving to AZ
I was explaining to T today that I wouldn't be able to make his preschool program tomorrow because I had to work. I told him that tomorrow is my last day ever of working.
Excitedly he goes: "So then you are retiring?"
Why...yes. Yes I am retiring and moving to Arizona. Isn't that what you are supposed to do?
