Got protein balls?

Long training ride coming up? Or did you workout hard and need a little protein packed snack?

These little balls are pretty tasty and super simple to make.

3 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 heaping tablespoon of protein powder (any kind is fine)
3 tablespoons of uncooked steel cut oats
2 teaspoons of Chia seed
2 tablespoons of almond milk

Mix well, it will be a little dry and that is fine. Shape into balls and sprinkle with a little sea salt (helps with cramping during those tough sweat sessions-that's why these are good to take with you on a long bike ride).

Pop them in the freezer.

  1. If it was really hot, maybe. But when I tried them this weekend they were perfect.

  4. Yum! I love the standard Energy Bite recipe you can find all over Pinterest, but this sounds pretty amazing! I need to try. Ore versions because they are so tasty. I love the addition of protein powder. I haven't gotten too into protein powder yet because they're usually available in such large quantities and I want to make sure I like them. Great recipe - stopping by from SITS! I'd be thrilled if you'd stop by our healthy living link up Tips and a Tricks Tuesday - this would be great to share! Exploringdomesticity(dot)com. Thanks!
