The watch is called the Poolmate by Swimovate USA. And this technically challenged Mom, was given a chance to test out the watch.
So here's a little breakdown of what a typical swim session would look like without the Poolmate:
(In my head):
Ok let's do this swim session Amanda!
Lap 1
Lap 2
Lap 3
Lap 4
Oh gross! Is that a piece of poop on the bottom of the pool? Just swim over it, maybe it's a penny.
Yep it has to be a penny. Don't open your mouth.
Lap 6 right?
Great here comes a dude that wants to swim in my lane. I better up my game and pretend like my form doesn't suck.
Lap 11, crap I lost count. Yep it has to be 11.
Is that lifeguard up there on the ladder laughing at me?
Do you think the guy swimming in my lane can see right down my top?
Does he notice the poop penny on the bottom of the pool?
Lap 16, Dangit I don't know what lap I'm on anymore. Maybe I should start over.
Hey did a bird just fly into the indoor pool area?
Keep that left goggle in the water stop looking up, you're pulling your head.
Damn I just scraped my knuckle on the lane-line.
Lap 95? it's been forever...it has to be at least lap 95 by now.
Is that poop-penny floating up toward me now?
Time to get out.
With the watch I am now able to have all the FUN conversations in my head without having to worry about counting. It was so nice to press a simple button on the watch and have it do all the work for me! I highly recommend this watch for anyone that swims and is terrible at math or just doesn't really want to have to keep track of the laps.
I was given a chance to test the watch for free and the opinions above are my own. (As if the poop mention wasn't a dead giveaway that I wrote the post)
Here is what the Swimovate website says about the watch:

This seems like a brilliant idea! I will pass this along to my swimmer friends!
ReplyDeleteOMG. Awesome. I need this watch. But also I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with conversations in my head about gross stuff in the pool! LOL! You had me in stitches, girl!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter would love this watch. Perhaps this will be in her Easter basket this year!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you weren't listening in on my last conversation while swimming laps? Guess I need a lap counter.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Marie
