What is the best part about having kids? Well when the kids get a spring break so do the parents! Last week we packed up the rv and headed to San Diego (because that is what all the Zonies do)! We spent a week down on Mission Bay soaking up the sandy beaches and sunshine.
Here are some highlights of the trip (caution pic overload)...
We had a nice little cove right outside our campground that the boys loved to visit each day.
I got in a nice ride along the popular Rose Canyon route. It was such a refreshing change to see so many road bikers, including a local business welcoming road bikers! I love our small town but our bike lanes are terrible and road bikers are treated like outcasts.
Not the smoothest bike path but NO CARS so that works for me!
I love this hydration station that one of the bike shops had set out for us.
Doing kid stuff.
Ice cream on the beach always tastes better.
Boogie boarding in March? Yep! These kids don't care that the water was only 60 degrees.
It was a highlight for all of us to spend time with my brother and sister in law. I enjoyed the special time I got with my adorable nephew.
We even managed to fit in a day at Legoland.
And lastly I enjoyed running this path every single day. As much as I love living in the mountains, I do miss San Diego and the beach life. San Diego holds so many special memories for me (growing up) and I hope my boys will make some wonderful ones as well.
