Writing this entry with a heavy heart.
The first moving box was packed last night.
Our house will be listed on the MLS probably next week. We met with realtor's and have been warned to expect a quick sale. We will most likely get what we want for it. Apparently only 2% of the houses on the market here are traditional sales. Traditional sales are HIGHLY desirable as buyers don't want to have to deal with the long wait from the banks. Also being on a cul-de-sac, corner lot, well maintained etc are all huge advantages.
So we are preparing for the move to Northern AZ. We haven't found a house yet but we do plan to fly out in a couple weeks to look. Our focus right now is to sell our existing home first. If we have to, we can bunk at the parents' house or travel around in our RV for a month (actually we were going to do that anyways).
I am very sad about leaving Temecula. I will miss my family and friends so so VERY much. But I am excited about living in a new place. Also excited that we will have P around a lot more. Being closer to his base means he can actually DRIVE to work. He will be based out of PHX. So he no longer will have to drive an hour to get on a plane, fly as a passenger for 2 hours and then start his day for work. Also means he won't have to spend an extra night in PHX b/c he missed the last flight to get him home (this happens often).
Northern Arizona....here we come!
I'm sorry to hear you are leaving Temecula. Prescott has a lot to look forward to once the Remlingers arrive:)
