6 months

This week marked our 6 month anniversary of living in AZ. As hesitant as I was about moving to a small town, I am truly amazed at how well we love this area. It feels like home. This kids have adjusted really well and so have I. I recently got a question from a friend who asked how I made friends so fast. The answer was that I basically threw myself into any and all "Mom related" activities I could find. MOMS club and MOPS were (are) my lifesavers. I have met so many great friends through these two groups. I was welcomed with open arms and that felt really good. I also love the weather. I am one of the few people who actually loves snow. So when it snows I get super excited. Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) it doesn't snow very often. So far we have only seen it snow about 4 times. Usually it wont stick around for long. The great thing about the mild winters is that both Paul and I can bike all year round. Paul recently took up mountain biking (he used to in college) and it is awesome to see how happy it makes him. Prescott is surrounded by National Forest so he has endless trails to ride. Not having to commute to/from work has clearly made a significant change on his happiness during his days at home with us.

We still miss our family and friends and of course would love to see any of you who read this blog! But my one complaint about keeping a blog is that my friends and family can keep up with us- however I don't get to hear from you in return. Trust me I do WANT to hear from you.
