Fab Five Favs

My Fab Five Favs!

1) My Heart Rate Monitor
I just got this to help me with my training. It's nothing fancy and it just basically gives me my heart rate and the time...all I need! So far I have had fun seeing how high my heart can get while running up the stairs, how low I can get it while reading in bed and what it is when I vacuum. But I really do plan to use this at the gym as it's compatible with the treadmills and spin bikes!

2) Pretzel M&M's
I cannot get enough of these. They are so damn good. I actually buy them and hide them from everyone in my family. If I don't do this the entire bag will be gone in about 7 hours (ahemmm Paul).

3) Gmaps Pedometer for cycling
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com
Even though I have a bike computer, I still use this to map out my rides ahead of time. It's great because it not only gives you the miles but calories burned and will give you the elevation rise/gain (something I find myself paying more attention to up here in the mountains).

4) Our local YMCA
I am so grateful for the Y. Even more so for the $2.00 daycare! Basically for two bucks I can leave D in there for up to two hours. So I take my sweet time when I work out. There have actually been days when I will go sit in the lobby and enjoy the free coffee and a magazine just to get a little extra "me time". I also cannot get enough of the spin classes, I think I am addicted to them.

5) Special K Fruit Crisps

I am one of those people who actually love Pop Tarts but am too embarrassed to buy them. Well basically these are the same thing but on a diet level. Only 100 calories for the entire pack! I love the blueberry ones.
