And then there were hills.

Yesterday was a great day for a ride. I posted this ride on my Prescott Tri Group in an effort to get more people (especially the ladies of the group) involved. Lately the majority of our rides have all been male-dominated and consisted of 60+ miles along narrow roads. So I had hopes that a few beginners would at least show up as my ride was only going to be about 20 miles and along a road with a nice wide bike lane. Only one person showed up, which happened to be a friend so I was ok with that. Shaynee and I ended up having a great time. However I forgot about how hilly this ride really was. The hills just kept coming and coming. I am sure as we were climbing up to the summit some expletive words were mumbled under her breath, a few times.

All in all it was a good training day and in the company of a friend, it was even better!

I will keep trying TRI'ing to get more beginners out there with me on these rides. I know there is some interest and I won't give up. Besides even if I am the only Tri club member, than at least I get my workout in for the day!

Shaynee at the summit. Recognize the bike? It was her first time on this ride but not for that bike.

We did it. Is it downhill now?

Still breaking in the new Trek!
