My triathlon training training took a little break over the winter but I am back at it this past month. I am currently training (I say that loosely) for my next Olympic distance the Esprit de She. I am looking at this race as a warm-up. My training has sort have been all over the past as I wrote in an earlier post but regardless it's something, right?
The weather has been beautiful so it's been wonderful to get outside and ride my bike. One thing I didn't do last year was ride my bike all that often and I thought I could just get-by with taking Spin classes. I proved myself wrong when it came down to game day! My butt was sore and wasn't used to my saddle. I won't be making that mistake this year.

A few weeks ago I put in a 50 miler and just this weekend I got in a good 30 mile ride. They were slow paced but I feel good that I rode those distances.
Yes I stop to take selfies along the road, don't judge.
This week my training looks like this:
Monday: Run-outside
Tuesday: Strength train/Swim
Wednesday: Spin (I teach this one)
Thursday: Strength train/Run-treadmill
Friday: Mountain bike ride
Saturday: Rest or easy hike
Sunday: Long bike
In June is when my training will really start to bump up in intensity as I will be approximately 20 weeks out from Silverman 70.3. Right now I am researching training plans and have asked some tri friends for recommendations. I have got a few good ones so far, and now I just have to choose which one to follow.
What are you training for? Do you follow a plan or go at your own pace?
