Tri Talk Tuesday Link-up- Run

It's Tri Talk Tuesday and time for another triathlete linkup with fellow bloggers: Miranda Cynthia and Courtney. This week we are discussing the run.

Oh the run. My nemesis.

The run is the least of my favorite of the 3 events. I'm not sure if I'll ever embrace running. It something I just tolerate. I'm glad it's last because when I get to the run on a triathlon it makes me a little happy, only because that means the event is almost over. 

The only tip I can give about running is that brick sessions (bike to run) should be practiced often. Running after biking is an entirely different feeling that just running alone. The legs feel like they have heavy bricks attached to them and want to stop. The first several miles for me are painful and then after a while they start to remember what to do. The more you practice the better they will feel after you hop off the bike.

So that's all I have to say about the run! For now I'll leave you with a few photos that clearly indicate my love of running (insert sarcasm here)

  1. I started running first, so to me it's the least intimidating. I'm a wreck at the start of the swim though! I agree, the best thing to do as far as the run portion is to practice running as soon as you get off a bike. Visiting from Tri Talk Tuesday :)
