Under Armour Marabella Sunglasses Review

I received the below product for free from Under Armour via a Girls Gone Sporty ambassador campaign. All opinions are my own and I was not compensated for this post.

I recently had the chance to test out a pair of Under Armour's new line of women specific sunglasses called the Marabellas. I was very excited about this opportunity as I LOVE sunglasses and have a hard time finding ones that are comfortable and light to wear while cycling or running. Here's my honest opinion of  these glasses:

 PROS

  • Very lightweight frame
  • I wore these while biking four hours one day and never once had a "sunglass" headache like I normally get.
  • Smaller frame fit my face well (I think or do they look lame on me)?
  • They did not slip down off my face when I was hot and sweaty.
  • I wore these running and they did not bounce or bother me in any way
CONS
  • They were dark, I mean really dark.
  • I prefer a lighter tint to my glasses especially when trail running and mountain biking so I can see the trail in the shade. But in that case I would have selected the rose lens color.
  • I would like to see the frame made in various colors.
Here is what the UA website says about the sunglasses:
  • Ultra-light ArmourFusion® frames are built from a combination of titanium & Grilamid for superior strength & flexibility
  • ArmourSight® lens technology delivers up to 20% more undistorted peripheral vision & are up to 10X stronger than ordinary polycarbonate lenses
  • Three-Point Grip ensures a comfortable & secure fit
  • Airflow technology keeps you cool & comfortable
  • Adjustable nosepad
  • Meets & exceeds ANSI Z87.1 safety standards for eyewear
  • All Under Armour® Performance Eyewear lenses block 100% of UVA, UVB & UVC rays

Overall? Two thumbs up!
Will I wear these for long training sessions? You bet.
Will I recommend to my friends? Absolutely.

Disclosure: A benefit to keeping a blog about training for triathlons is a chance to receive various products to use and review for my readers. These products are often provided for free or at a significant discount to me. I don't receive additional compensation and I'm not under obligation to provide a positive review of the product. My opinions on the product are entirely my own. Some of the products I review may work for me, but they may not work for you.
